LSE QueerConf is a one-day economics conference for LGBTQIA+ PhD Students, taking place at the London School of Economics on July 5th, 2024. The day will consist of research presentations by attendees, advice from queer faculty, and plentiful opportunities to socialise - including a conference dinner. The conference aims to build a community of Queer PhD students that will live on after the day.

Any LGBTQIA+ PhD student studying Economics or a closely related field is invited to apply. 

Presentation slots are available, but there is no requirement to present. There is no cost to attend the conference. Funding for travel and accommodation is available for those who would otherwise be unable to attend (although this funding is limited). Students from all over the world are welcome to apply, but funding limitations mean we are likely to only be able to cover travel from Europe. We hope to raise enough money that for future events we can offer funding wherever you live. We are very grateful that funding for this event was provided by the Hub for Equal Representation. 

To be considered for a presentation slot and/or funding, applications should be submitted by May 27th. Applicants who would like to present should include a draft paper, slides, or extended abstract (2-5 pages). We will confirm (i) whether you have a slot to present (ii) whether we can provide you with funding on June 1st. 

Registration for non-presenters who do not require funding is through the same form, and will remain open until June 15, 2024.
