LSE QueerConf is a one-day economics conference for LGBTQIA+ PhD Students, taking place at the London School of Economics on August 15th, 2025. The day will consist of research presentations by attendees, advice from queer faculty, and plentiful opportunities to socialise - including a conference dinner. The conference aims to build a community of Queer PhD students that will live on after the day.

Any LGBTQIA+ PhD student studying Economics or a closely related field is invited to apply.

Presentation slots are available, but there is no requirement to present. There is no cost to attend the conference. Funding for travel and accommodation is available for those who would otherwise be unable to attend (although this funding is limited). Students from all over the world are welcome to apply. We are very grateful that funding for this event was provided by the LSE Department for Economics.

To be considered for a presentation slot and/or funding, applications should be submitted by June 23rd. Applicants who would like to present should include a draft paper, slides, or extended abstract (2-5 pages). We will confirm (i) whether you have a slot to present (ii) whether we can provide you with funding on June 30th.
